this is the community for ambitious builders, makers, and creatives at uiuc.

our goal is to create a second path–where students work on their own ideas rather than going down predefined paths in consulting, swe, quant, etc.

we started two years ago, and since then have hosted events for over 1,000 people, partnering with ycombinator, sequoia, google, prizepicks, soma capital, zfellows, hf0, etched, telora, leapyear, and more.

we've done things like:

• a summit where investors behind companies like duolingo and ramp came to champaign to watch students demo rockets, cancer patches, distributed gpu networks, humanoid robots, protein gummy bears, and more.
• a retreat sponsored by google in knox with 7-figure arr and exited founders — kayaking, hiking dunes, and building with the best.
• 200-person hackathons with $120k+ in prizes and fast-tracks to vcs/accelerators.
• private dinners + firesides with partners from 1517 fund, drive capital, afore, doordash, fanatics, and metlife.
• weekly co-working sessions with the brightest builders on campus.

we've seen members raise millions, get into accelerators like ycombinator/founders inc/ef/orangedao, and work at companies like openai/meta superIntelligence lab/midjourney etc.
